Read the distribution, not just the winner

Expected heads is half the number of flips; it is an average across repeated experiments, not a quota for this batch. A 100-flip run can finish with 57 heads without the generator favoring heads.

The chart samples the cumulative heads percentage as the batch progresses. The 50% reference line shows the model expectation. A longer run usually has a smaller relative deviation, but its path can move away from the line along the way.

Download a CSV summary and chart checkpoints after a run. Batches of 1,000 or fewer also include the complete flip sequence. Larger batches omit the individual sequence to keep the page responsive.

Questions about coin flip simulator

No. Each flip is independent. Expected heads is n/2, but a particular run need not contain equal heads and tails.
